I'm going on a whale watch on Wednesday. Trip starts tomorrow.
Thinking about getting a polarizing filter for my EX1, so I can see deeper into the water. We'll be on a 100+ foot boat for about 4 hours in the afternoon off Hyannis, MA.
Looking at the space between the filter threads and the lens hood, it looks rather tight. Is there a filter that can fit in that space? The lens hood will be quite important both for protection and for shading the sunlight from the lens.
If it's not possible, then I'll forego the polarizer. The whales do jump out of the water, so we'll surely get some whale footage anyway.
