Matteblox DV and oversized flag are in excellent condition and work perfectly. This version is made for the DVX100 a,b or p. I have also used this on the Sony PD-150/170.
I am selling this unit because 99.9% of the work that I do now, is with a Redrock Encore 35mm adapter, so I need a matte box that fits onto my rails, and can swing out. This Matteblox DV, is built to go directly onto the factory lens of your DVX, not on Nikon Prime lenses.
I loved using it for the following reasons.
1) No more lens flare problems. One day I was complaining about lens flares, and the next day when I threw on the Matteblox DV, those problems were gone. It was like, WOW!
2) Richer and deeper black colors instantly. Before the Mattebox, I added a little contrast to everything that I edited, just to get richer darker colors. Put on the Matteblox DV, and now that's gone. All of that extra side light hitting my lens is gone. You get a better picture with a Mattebox, hands down.
3) It makes your camera look big and mean. Clients dig it.
4) I don't have the optional filter holder, but if you want to buy it, and use your own filters, I can understand that too. Better ND and Polarizers are out there as an alternative to the screw on ones.
