Cineroid HDMI mini to AF100

I ordered a 0.5m HDMI to mini HDMI cable off eBay for about $8.00, not sure of the quality yet but it can't be too bad for $8.00.

The biggest problem I had with my Cineroid was the mini HDMI receptacle - it was apparently worn because after only a few days it failed.

What I did - and what I recommend - is I went through a bunch of cables at a friends and found one that worked (it's a little deeper, so it makes contact) - luckily it was an 8" with an full size female on the other end. I used J-B Weld - very carefully - to cement the mini end permanently to the Cineroid. Then I got a 90 degree end and another short cable ( from a great company in Oregon, can't remember the name now) to hook to the camera. I taped the male to female in the middle together with gaffers tape, and plugged the other end to the 90 degree and that into the camera. That way, plugging in and out always happens with the middle cable, which can be replaced easily if it fails.

Sounds complicated, I know, but after a failure on a shoot I am paranoid.

Paranoid with a Cineroid, maybe one of the most erotic posts I have read on DVX. I will wait on receptacle failure before enhancing the 'Roid. Gracias!

Well, I didn't come up with the name - and if you'd ever had hemorrhoid surgery (I have) you wouldn't think it was so erotic... I'm not one of those who types LOL either...

Also, if you'd had your viewfinder stop working on an important shoot you'd be paranoid too...
