I saw the schematic with the Cineporter attached to the base of the HVX, and it is quite bulky. How about the Firestore? Is it smaller?

I'm not sure about it being too bulky but using anything other than the Panasonic approved Firestore makes me nervous. I'd hate to invest so much money in the HVX and then have the Cineporter possibly damage the P2 drive. Paranoid I know.
Any thoughts?
