Hello all,
I did some cleaning out a closet today and happened across a box of books and VHS tapes. I was thinking of putting them up on ebay, but before I do, I'd like to see if someone just wants to make an offer for the whole batch.
If I get multiple decent offers, best offer on the lot takes everything. If you're in L.A. local pick-up is fine, otherwise buyer to pay actual shipping cost.
I'll wait until New Year's Day to part them out on ebay.
Here's what I've got. I've rated the books in their condition as well, softcover unless noted.
Arriflex 435 book - Jon Fauer (very good condition)
The Camera Assistant's Manual - David Elkin (fair condition)
The Photographer's Assistant - John Kieffer (like new)
The Camera Assistant (Hardback)- Doug Hart (new)
Panaflex User's Manual 2nd Edition - David Samuelson (good)
Arri 35 Book - Jon Fauer (good to fair)
The Complete Guide to American Film Schools - Earnest Pintoff (fair)
The Users Guide for the Moviecam Compact - Fritz Gabriel and Team (like new)
Aaton XTRProd Users Guide - Bound and Covered Photocopy from Adolf Gassers (good)
Artificial-Light Photography (Hardback) - Ansel Adams (very good considering the age, out of print)
Natural-Light Photography (Hardback) - Ansel Adams (very good considering the age, out of print)
-------------
VHS
Visions of Light - 1992, fantastic documentary
Kodak Cinematography Master Class Series (4 tapes)
- Shooting for Realism with Allen Daviau & Sacha Viery
- Studio Lighting a Comparative Workshop with Donald McAlpine and Denis Lenoir
- Location Lighting with Geoff Burton
- Shooting for Drama with Robby Muller and Peter James
I can make no claim about the quality of the VHS tapes, as I no longer own a VHS deck. Tapes are probably fine, but I have to sell them with a warning that they are AS-IS, with no state of functioning implied.
