CinemaSports + some

I just did my first cinemasports event yesterday, if you're not familar you have 10 hours to make a film with 3 "ingredients" they give you. Ours were

1. something dehydrated
2. a slip of the tounge
3. a lucky charm

Now the story isn't the best, I realize this, but I've gotten enough "oh that was so good!"'s and I think I'm ready for some actual criticism.

Hope you enjoy all the ninjas and such, I know copyrighted music is a no-no, I try my best not to use it but yeah sometimes you just can't help yourself.

Thanks!

I dont know what to say.

its hard to crit that film...you just went out and shot it and there it is.

not enough ninja's is a possiblity...I like the kids hair.

here's some of my thoughts..

It made me laugh so there must be something right.
I didnt like the dance scene, I hate crazy frog...and with that storyline you went up against napolian dynamite and you aren't gonna win that battle.
you should compose your shots more carefully
and try some colour correction.

Sou! I agree. It's clear you have an enviable energy to do shots and arrange actors and stages... Do not waste this gift and try something less amateur, simpler and... study a lot!

Yeah, I actually wasn't too fond of the dance scene either. I couldn't shoot from the audience because there was a humongous set that they were building that was in front of us(it was like a living room or something) and shooting in front of that would have been confusing/weird.

When you talk of composing shots more carefully, do you just mean all around or in the dance scene specifically.

Actually, now that I watch it I see a bunch of shots that were framed weirdly, thanks for the criticism.

And is it just me or is there a HUGE reverb on everything? I'm watching it on a computer at school and the sound is just disgusting. Hope thats just me...

the best part was the scene on the bench with the girl. the "i like your boobs" reminded me of that scene in anchorman. "i wanna be on you" very funny.

im just gonna put it out there....

I want to be on you.

Ryan, hi dude, I just try and shoot everything like every frame captured is a photograph I would be proud of....25 beautiful photographs a second.....it doesn't always work out but its a good place to start. then of course you fluke some stuff.......thats always nice.
