cinema displays?

im having a problem with the dell 2208 if I move 1 degree up down left or right my screen will be tinted red. Also all blacks and grays are super grainy For example this text box is realy grainy on my monitor. Is it a problem with the monitor or did I pick a crappy one
 
I have the dell 2408, it fits the mac pro very good and it's a nice screen.
Dont know if that displayport ever will bring me any good.
 
hey xray. glad to hear someone has a good experience with dell 2408. I can't make up my mind just yet. the more I read the more confuse I get. People complained about dead pixel and other problems with dells, Apple long awaited refresh. I don't know yet. can't make the jump yet. So, no use for display port yet? it's supposed to be the new thing, they say.
