Mitch and Panasonic have been kind enough to have something for you to report about. I hope there are more surprises for you.

I'm sure there will be. At least hopefully it will be easier to meet people since it won't as much of a mob scene as NAB!

I wonder if Fuji will be there with the new GFX-100? Not really a cinema camera but could be used to shoot video/cinema. 1.7X x 35mm FF would be of interest to a lot of filmmakers. They could have a game changer here at $10k.

That would be fun to see!

Chimera has a “surprise” skypanel product for Cinegear. (As per their email)

Not sure this is a “cinegear” rumor, but i am starting to see Mixpre3/6 power options from third party companies like Hawkwood and Location Sound. In particular the more logical Sony L mount bracket.

Hoping someone makes:

A - a hirose or dc tap with a small internal battery that allows hotswapping. This would allow the camera and mixpre to be power from the same device and simplify battery swaps.

Or

B - a hinge door on the DC/hirose sled, so that one can access the memory card without removing the sled.

I wouldn’t hope for both to be incorporated. :)

In any case, cool to see the L mount bracket. It is also having different hirose sled designs, and one shape could be better than another depending what you do. One sled has a screw on DC tap.
