Cinefrom, Firstlight & MC

HI,


Can anyone tell me if MC 5.5 works with Cineform & Firstlight in the same way as PP ?

From what I could find from lot of searches is that it does work with the Cineform files using AMA but the LUTs from Firstlight dont update in MC, is this correct ?

I just checked. They do not update in AMC, just as you have read. I used the same Cineform mov file in Premiere CS5.5 and it updated as it should.

I just shot and edited a feature On Red, that we converted to cineform 1k express files for offline in MC 5.5 the LUTs in First Light come through Avid AMA just fine. You can even match back from Avid, make the change to source clip in First Light, and the change is immediate in Avid. Awesome freaking workflow.
 
I tried it again, and find that it does auto correct just as in Premiere. Sorry for the misinformation. Thanks for correcting my error. I have no clue why I got a negative result yesterday.:shocked:

Cheers for the replies guys !

I've just got it to work on my aging MacPro, I need more CPU horsepower to playback smoothly though, but at least it works.

Definitely the workflow I want, happy days !! :happy:
