Okay, I am having a problem here. Sent off an email to Cineform support, but have not heard anything back from them yet.
I am shooting with the Sony NX5U, AVCHD with Linear PCM audio and trying to use Neoscene to convert the MTS files to Cineform AVI. The video converts beautifully. However, the audio from the original files are completely lost in the translation. The converted AVIs register as have no audio stream.
Is Cineform simply unable to handle Linear PCM? Do I have to shoot with AC3 in order to use Cineform as my intermediate codec? That would really stink, as the PCM capabilities are one of the reasons I chose the Sony over the competition. It would make no sense if CF were totally unable to embed the original audio stream in the converted file.
