Cine Gear 2014: FS700, A7s & Odyssey 7Q

Thanks for posting, answers some questions about the A7s - like how does it do 4k in aps-c mode with the full sensor readout. Good stuff. Can't wait for mine to ship.

congrats...these are really great interviews...right on point and so resourceful....thanks

It's so interesting to hear the logic behind some of their decisioms

I enjoyed hearing why they chose to make their new e-mount 24-70mm a constant aperture f4 lens vs f.2.8

Nice interviews! It's great you got some info on how the A7S was deriving 4K from APS-C mode. I only wish the FS700 highlight aliasing was discussed with the Sony rep, rather than with Mitch. Sony really, really need to fix it.

Great stuff, indeed!
Can't help liking Juan from Sony, seems like a genuinely nice guy with very little of the annoying sales person antics.

it's the downside of wanting it to keep the a7 footprint
when he said "having internal 4K recording would have made the body twice as big" my thought was that it would still be smaller than a 5D3

Or exactly the same size as the A99II or A99s with the 12mp sensor. IMO 4k internal will hit the A mount first.

I'm not really care about 4k internal or not, but of course if a camera can do internal 4k+full frame pixel reading sure highly welcome!
What i really care is at least giving 10bit output, more future proof and it will become more long lasting camera.
Really hoping this year Sony will release a same or better sensor than a7s do 10bit output camera, either nex size or dslr size camera, because next year our corrupt Government will add tax on camera, lenses and all! I hope to get one smaller size B-cam before tax come out for long term using to work with fatty fs700.
