Chroziel step down ring help!!

[HeXman]

Hey guys,

I need a 85-52mm Step Down Ring so I can hook a canon lens with the mattebox, but I can't find it ANYWHERE...

Do you guys know where can I find one? or is there any other solution?

Thanks!

P.S. I have a 411 50P Chroziel mattebox with a Chrosziel 420-04 85mm Adapter Plate

Step up or step down?

A step up goes from a smaller lens to a larger accessory. A step down goes from a larger lens to a smaller accessory. Expect vignetting with step down rings. going down from 85 to 52mm would be quite a lot of vignetting.

I actually just found a solution.. My mattebox has a 85mm adaptor plate and I have a 85mm to 72mm step down ring, so since I haven't been able to find a 85mm to 52mm step down ring.. I'm going to attach a 72mm to 52mm step up ring to the 85mm to 72mm step down ring that I have. Since the 52mm to 72mm step up ring si only like $3 on ebay, I'm going to take the risk and try to see if that works with my 50 and 85mm lenses... I'll let you guys know if it worked
