if you still have this when i get my hpx i might buy it.
would if fit even if i alrady have a seperate baseplate on the bottom?

Depends on the baseplate, depends on what you mean by fit.. Please be more specific...

this has a 1/4-20 screw with locator pin that is designed to screw into the bottom of the hvx.. its designed to put the hvx at the propper lens height for rail accessories such as a matte box... you can then mount a tripod baseplate to the bottom of this plate and mount the entire thing on your tripod...
