We've had our system for several years, it works perfectly, we just haven't had much need for it recently. I think it's the easiest way to do green screen, check it out at http://www.reflecmedia.com/education/products/chromatte/index.htm. Makes a perfect rental item, we have rented it many times, it ships very well.

Small Studio Bundle - Includes:
- 12ft x 10ft curtain, with grommets on 2 adjoining sides
- Medium Green LiteRing
- control box
- additional adapter rings: 95, 86, 82, 80, & 72 mm
- small case, holds everything but backdrop
- custom Thermodyne shipping case, holds backdrop and smaller case

The Lite Ring mounts directly to your camera's lens. The ring size is 112 mm, which is the right size for all lenses from 72mm to 112mm. You simply hang the backdrop on any pole, or you can drape it over bookcases, desks, etc. It can even be placed flat on the floor, so you can key your subjects laying or walking on whatever background you want to key in. Needs very minimal distance from subject, so unlike traditional green screen which might need 10 or 20' between it and the subject, you can hang it inches from your subject and still get a perfect, even key. This makes the 10x12' size big enough for your talent to walk and talk. It would take a standard green screen double this size to do the same thing. We had grommets added to 2 adjoining sides of the backdrop, so it can be hung either horizontally or vertically.

More info about Chromatte: manufactured by Reflecmedia. Unlike conventional chroma key fabrics that are usually blue or green in color, the Chromatte backdrop is grey to the eye in ambient light. The fabric contains millions of tiny glass beads that act as reflector. When the green light from the lens-mounted LiteRing hits the fabric, it is returned on the same path back into the camera's lens. The low (10 watt) light emitted from the LiteRing is bounced back off the Chromatte fabric straight into the camera lens. The camera sees the background as an even colored green backdrop. The control box allows adjustment of the output of the LiteRing for perfect balance in all situations. The backdrop requires NO ADDITIONAL LIGHTING (saves setup time, electricity and heat). It lights up by itself the second the LiteRing is turned on and dimmed up. No need for additional large rooms, no waveform monitor to make sure your green screen is evenly lit, no spill to worry about. You just light your subject as you would normally.
