Chroma phase adjustment

Could any please explain "Chroma Phase" in the scene file? I could not see any difference when "Chroma Phase" was adjusted? BTW, I do not have a broadcast level monitor. Anyone has some footage with various level of "Chroma Phase"?

Also when using manual focus, if your subject is walking toward you from 20 feet away, how could you adjust focus manually? Or you simply use AF? I mean auto focus does not work well in 24p or 30p.

I appreciate the input from many people. I certainly learned a lot from you guys, especially Justyn. I am mostly comfortable with AF/MF (footage a lot sharper NOW. :D ), White Balance, exposure, etc. The scene file is certaily a big learning curve for me, Panasonic needs to provider scene file for HMC150 also. Also how often people use HMC150 to make a movie? Many people seem to be fascinated with 24p. I personally hate the film looking feel.

Croma Phase will mainly affect the deeper reds in the image.

Phase + will result in more magenta-reds and Phase - will result in more orange-reds.

I used to have this +2 but have found it adds too much red to the overall scene.

So I now have it at -2 and always adjust my reds in post to get rid of the orangy look.

So I would leave it at 0 unless you have a monitor you trust.
