Chroma Level and Chroma Phase?

Retrospective

Hey guys, Can anyone explain me how adjusting both these settings will affect my shot? I have found no explanation or whatsoever, just brief a description...

Thanks!

chroma level is basically "saturation"

and chroma phase shifts the image more towards a magenta in the positives, and more towards the green/blues in the negatives... or vice versa.. i forget.

its like on cam color correction, with limited options of course haha

Chroma phase is like the Hue setting on a NTSC television.

It is also called the SC setting when using a CCU in broadcast television.

On my monitor, Chroma Phase +3 seems to give the best representation of different shades of red.

I dis-like orangy reds which so often appear in still & video images and this adjustment helps a lot.
