Just aired this video we shot and edited in 3 days. Made for Christmas services at The Crossing (http://www.crossing-church.com)

This was shot HPX170. The house scenes were at first daylight through windows, and then lit by a couple Arri lights. We didn't want it too lit because we wanted a "nighttime" scene feel. Worked ok. We got alot of noise, but it actually felt good to me! Wishing we had an AF100/larger sensor than 1/3".

The outdoor nighttime shots were using HPX170 again using only available light and a small Sima LED on-cam light that we hand held to light faces. This worked VERY well. I'm thinking of getting another of these lights because they work sooo well for moving lighting, and they give a "true" white.

The snowman scenes were shot on the church stage with the gymnasium lighting. Feels good for the "mall Santa" feel.

Anyway, I'd love to hear if you enjoyed this! Merry Christmas DVXUser!

Looke GREAT!! was this shot with a 35mm adapter? 24pn? what scene files? great work again, I like how creative you were with basic light and the editing was also great.

Shot with a straight HPX170. 720/30pn. Scene files were Cinelike-D with cinelike matrix. I think Master Pedestal at -10 or something, saturation maybe +1 or 2.

Desaturation in FCP. Basically just used the 3-way Color corrector to balance exposure looks. I was going to add noise for a gritty look, but the camera brought a bunch naturally that looked good.

Thanks! Gotta credit my DP Kyle T for the shooting, and the band guys that rapped for the great sound track.

I didn't like the colors. Looked like it was shot on HDV. The concept was fun though.

Favourite line was the chestnuts roasting on an open fire... had me in stitches. When the girl came in to sing she reminded me of Natalie Portman doing her rap on SNL.. minus all the swearing. Good work guys!

Very nicely edited and of course sounded great as well. It looked like a real SNL music video! Look forward to seeing more great hits to top the chart!
