I'm having a problem with choppy audio in Avid Xpress Pro. When I play back a clip or record out a sequence to DV tape the audio sounds all choppy. I think it all started when I downloaded service pack 2 for windows XP so that I could put Adobe Encore on my comp.
It has seemed to screw up my firewire connections (ie the one that goes to my deck and my external firewire drive.) so there is some kind of lag. I tried downloading a fix from microsoft that is supposed to correct problems with firewire devices after downloading SP2 but to no effect.
Anybody have any ideas other than taking off SP2?
