I have a short sequence to shoot where i want dramatic slow motion. I think 48 fps is what I want instead of 60 fps, but just to be sure, If I shoot it at 60 fps wouldn't it give me the option of changing it in post to 48? Will there be any image difference between shooting it at 48 and shooting it at 60 and slowing it to 48 in the edit?

Assuming you're editing on a 24 timeline (23.976 fps), by shooting at 48fps and dropping that clip on the timeline you'll see 1/2 the speed of your normal 24p footage. 60fps dropped on that timeline will be even slower. I don't know what editing package and platform you're using but you should be able to time-remap that 60fps footage in post to speed it up if you want.
