GH13 Choosing 25p in 100mb/s patch.

I'm having problems getting a true 25p file from the 100mb/s hack. The 24p usually works just fine, but I need to telecine some super 8 footage, and 25p with a 50 shutter is just what I need.

Can anyone help?
 
Which 100MB/s hack? GH1 or GH2? If you are talking about GH1, I assumed you mean LPowell's Max Lattitude?

And what type of problem are you having?
 
Yes the Max latitude hack for GH-1.

I need to shoot native 25p rather than 24p and I cant figure out how to switch between the two.
 
I haven't tried to use 25P on the GH1, but my memory of how to do it is that your settings (in PTool) have to have "Native 24p/25p" checked in the "Wrapper" menu of "AVCHD Mode" "PAL <-> NTSC Menu" must be checked under "Movie Related Restrictions" under "Patches for End Users".

If the setting you are using already has those boxes checked, then the only thing you should need to do is switch from NTSC to PAL mode in the menu on the GH1 itself. Then, FHD mode should record in 25P.

Please correct me if it turns out I'm wrong, because the last thing I want is for people to take my advice if it dosen't work. :)
 
Here is how to change between 24p/25p modes on a GH1:
1. Go into the setup menu (spanner icon)
2. At the top of page 4 there is the option "VIDEO OUT" - change to "PAL"
3. Turn camera off and on again
4. Format SD card
 
Thanks Geoff, that filled in the details I left out of the execution. My only additional contribution is to mention that if you still get an error message after formatting, that it is sometimes necessary to repeat 4, or 3 and 4, again.
