Chloe!

I dug it up until the end. I climax felt kind of cliche (i.e. fatal attraction-ish) to me.

Great performances all around though.

and Amanda Seyfriend is smoking hot.

Iagree. It really felt like watching Fatal Attraction. it ended up being what Iexpected: a well acted, fine passed suspense thriller, but predictable.

Yea, the ending was prudy average, but it sure didn't go in the direction that I was expecting at the beginning.

I suspected that her husband was innocent, but I kinda thought that that the theme would be that the wifes suspicion would be her undoing (i.e. set up Chloe to sleep w/ husband, and he DOES and runs away with her). In THAT storyline, the wife could be fighting an uphill battle to win back her husband... perhaps then Chloe could be setting out to try and kill her...

Oh wait.... That IS "Fatal Attraction" hehehe

Julianne Moore, the girl from Big Love…..potential nudity……damn you Netflix! Hurry up and send that film!

[SPOILER]

There was a lot more potential to it, Chloe could start blackmailing the father or the son. The end was a bit abrupt, but the movie is enjoyable and Juliane Moore and Amanda Seyfried are sexy together.

I agree they could have do soo many things with that plot. I was sure that she was going after the son. When she was sick (sneezing) they cud have used that and made the son not the husband fall sick they never used it at all

Oh God this movie sucked. A few hot scenes, but man, what a waste of time. Clunky editing, slightly confusing plot. To be fair, I will say the cinematography was nice.

I remember when movies like Fatal Attraction and Basic Instinct created a major nationwide buzz. Those films delivered the goods. There's probably a good reason Chloe was a turd at the box office. It couldn't deliver.

Wheres the opposite of this emoticon?

Could you give me an example of clunky editing there? I'm curious since I'm not an experienced editor, just to be aware of it.

^ First off, dude the emoticon is great! Never could find that one.

Example off the top of my head would be when Julianne Moore was running to find Chloe at the bar. They were playing this urgent, fast-paced music. All of the sudden WHAM they cut to the hotel room, the music is slower. There just seemed to be no pacing between the two shots. Just a conscious decision by the filmmakers to hurry up and get to the sex.

Clunky may not have been the best word choice, but something seemed to be off from time to time. Don't think I'll be revisiting this one anytime soon, but if I do see it I'll be sure and list some examples.:grin:

Oh one more thought RE: the plot. The hair clip or whatever it was? Gimme a break, I saw the ending coming up 6th Avenue in a cab. Very predictable!

SPOILER:

The hair pin didn't give away the ending for me... I thought it was going to be about the husband denying Chloe's advances or that he runs off with her OR that she was going to corrupt their already incorrigible son.

They clearly didn't do enough to establish Chloe's motivations. Ok, she hated men because they see her as a sex object, but the attachment to Julianne Moore, was never explored. Perhaps Chloe's mother may have molested her/protected her hence the hairpin memento.

I thought the movie was good, the ending fell flat. There were so many better ways to create tension at the end... They didn't have to make her die either! Jeez, its not like she killed anyone or she is some grave menace to society. She is just a f*kd up hooker that needs a little help. Far from needing to push her through a window!

Applaud this man! And I hope the mods add it to the collection.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to edit all my old posts from such threads as Iron Man 2, the last episode of Lost, GI Joe: the Rise of Cobra……...

just saw this the other day, had some interesting twists and turns but nothing to really write home about - except the sex scenes - decent acting all around but nothing else really stood out as really good or really bad
