Chinese Steadicam Stabilizer - Laing M-02

Nice flying there! Were you the same Eric that posted on a regular basis on Charle's HBS forum and had a flycam previously and did lots of mods?? I was lucky enough to get one of the rare Flycam 5500's before they were told to stop making them and it flies well still!! I'm using the new Sont EA-50 on it now which is their new run 'n gun shoulder mount camera with the smaller APS-C sensor than your FS100 but a really neat camera!!

I'm sure the Eric I used to discuss stuff with was also from Manilla and your house exterior looks familiar too!!

Hi Chris, nice to hear from you again. Yup, we did so many mods on the Indian rig. I finally gave up on it and took a chance on this Chinese rig. It flies very well, precision made, quality materials, etc. I'm very pleased with it's performance.

Hi, Eric. I saw in another post you made on the internet, that they made a change to the bottom recently. Does the attached23.jpg photo reflect that change? Thanks.
 
Yes, I had an older model which they now use on the M-02c. I updated my version with the newer one. I now have the new monitor bracket which could be adjusted fore and aft for balancing and inverted upside down for low mode. I also have the new rod system battery bracket which also has balancing adjustments. It's nice, well built and designed. It weighs a little more though than the original.
 
Seems kind of cool, but for that price you could get a steadicam merlin... and then modify a glidecam HD4000 and the total would be around 1800. That's my main rig for payloads up to about 12-14 pounds and from there I'll rent another rig. I find that having the name steadicam and the customer service is totally worth it. I've flown the FS700 on this and EX3 and a Scarlett... Just amazing setup and you get the Steadicam name to boot...
 
I've owned and modified HD 4000 with HDMI running thru the post and monitor on the bottom stage, with the Merlin vest and arm which is the same as the pilot I believe. It cannot handle the Sony ex3, it bottom out on the arm. Sold it and looking for rigged can handle 20lbs
 
This is much more than a Merlin. It has so many features available for more serious steadicam work. They have also upgraded their arm and is now isoelastic. I still need to get hold of their new arm and test it. If you want to get a good deal email Tracy directly tracyyanmei@gmail.com

I've been away from the forum for a while. Orguss pmed me and asked for more test flight. I thought going down and up the rustic stone stairs was challenging. Here's a two minute test at high mode and additional clips on low mode which I can switch on the fly.
