Ok, here is my rough cut to my dialogue scene between Chinese triad gangsters and mr. waiter boy.

Some mild out of sync in the inserts, and a few pops in the background, but overall, I'm happy with it.

nice pacing of the dialogue
Although... some of the panning shots seemed shaky, and sort of decreased the effect. And maybe you can add some sound FX when the camera pans in, give it more punch ;)

Nice cutting! This is really coming together nicely, bro! The editing doesn't call attention to itself at all, and I'm also impressed by the sound levels, and the tonal qualities...I can't even guess which audio track you're using...also, if something goes out of synch on the dialog, non chinese speakers won't know. We'll be too busy reading to tell! LOL
Good stuff. I'm also digging the color treatment you picked.

I'm looking forward to what's to come ;)!

Also, I did notice the bit of wind noise we got, but I can help you build a nice ambient track with distant restaurant voices and traffic, and maybe some obnoxious music wafting in here and there. I love sound design! Once again, good stuff!

This is so damn cool. Like a little serial matinee. I thought the dialog was good although lacking in some serious 'screenplay' skills. Its passable for me but I confess Id like to see something else in terms of drama and tension.

This would be great with some ambient score of evil. LOL

I'm also digging this project, very nicely done. Maybe a little full frontal male nudity with that scene would help a bit, just a suggestion ;D

cool in the gang...

looks good yo. the pony tail guy going to have a roll in this flick?

the only thing i would comment on would be that you are favoring, and sometimes only framing 2 of the 3 guys. you dont necessarly have to give the 3rd guy anything to do, but including him in the over the shoulder shots would just reinforce that our boy is out numbered. for a second there i almost forgot there was 3 of those cats.

anyway, just my 2cents. i like it though, dig the subtitles.

somem of the subtitles are off though - had my actor translate them to me again

cambodian eh - not a bad idea!!

nice suggestions rich - wish i oculd go out and reshoot some extra inserts, but alas, my shooting time for this scene is up
