china c-mount 35 mm f1.7 test and gh13

Sorry man not to be rude, but just can't to watch it, please use a tripod or some other stabilizing device. The lens looks nice though.

Looked like you had some good fun with that lens zeedmanz. I liked that it wasn't on a tripod-good old fashioned home-movie like the 8mm days

Where is this? Reminds me of my home in the Philippines. Really enjoyed-if now slightly homesick.

Is that the fujian? The flaring is overwhelming at times, but you got some great footage out of it. I think some folks are a bit obsessed about steadiness here.

He's obviously familiar with one, there is a nice one in the Vimeo avatar!! It's a shame he didn't use it, there are some nice shots in there but it's just a little painful to watch 5 mins of a lens test with that much movement. :-)

I'm disappointed i can't enjoy it.

Can you post a picture of the lens and your mount? it has some nice bokeh.

I like the hand-held look. With some color grading I think it will look very much like the old 8mm days (if you want it to look that way obviously). What I didn't like so much was the out of focus shots, or rather how you show how you are busy focusing from the start of a take...it seems a bit to deliberate. I'm not talking about mid take or when you focus on a different subject. The scenes at the beginning (00:08, 00:13, 00:22 for example) that start out of focus and you get into focus - that I didn't like.

Been looking at these lenses myself. Nice fun lens I think.

Don't listen to the bozos here. If this is the Fujian this is a great lens. The nature of these cameras, handheld in any format is terrible. But the quality of the trndering of color is great.
