Chihuahua, Mexico

I've been sitting on this video for a while- don't know why I'm suddenly inspired to post stills, but there you are.  These are from a service project trip I took to Chihuahua, Mexico back in June... I had been debating whether or not to bring my DVX (as we weren't staying in the best part of town- it and the case would draw way too much attention to themselves).  I ended up settling for wrapping the camera in a towel and stuffing it in my backpack. I'm an idiot. Worked out okay though...

More to come as I upload them...

Re: Chihuahua, Mexico

I really like the 2nd and the 4th down. Also, I think the aspect ratio you chose really brings them to life as well. Must have been nice down there.

Re: Chihuahua, Mexico

They look really nice. Do you happen to remember any of your settings?
were you using any special lenses? Did you crop in the edit?

Re: Chihuahua, Mexico

The second grab is really great. When can u show some clips?

Re: Chihuahua, Mexico

Nice ... did you color correct these, or just use white balance to achieve that warm color?

Re: Chihuahua, Mexico

Thanks. :-) It was shot in 24p (normal)- As far as settings go, I can't remember much in particular, only that PURE white is a very hard color to find down there so playing with the white balance was a lot of fun. (I do remember knocking the pedestal down quite often though.) No special lenses, it was just framed for widescreen in my head as I shot, then cropped in post.

Here are some more grabs:
