Chicago Bootcamp

Hey,

Very cool Mr.Land. Now not meaning too sound stupid but, what exactly do u do at a Bootcamp so i know whats going on before i sign up.

Thanks:)

there's the obstacle course
and of course marksmanship

... just kidding

you'll see HVX or DVX footage (depending on which workshop you attend) shot by top notch pro DP's and you'll have access to ask questions, you'll get a lighting intro/work shop from said DP, you get Barry Green walking you through every menu item and function of the camera, you get FCP or VEGAS (i think vegas) demos, and more ... usually special guests and things with stories and tips from the field.

In short its a crash course in everything you need to know to vastly improve any project you are doing with your camera.

We didn't do a Vegas demo at the HVX camp in LA because there were no Vegas people there. But the Raylight demo applies both to Vegas and to Premiere. There's definitely instruction how to work post in both the Mac and PC platforms.

Ah, but you were back in time to watch FCP crash during the demo! :)

Jarred, Barry, I plan on attending your Chicago HVX seminar.. Looking forward to registration info...

Hey! I crashed FCP on purpose to demonstate the log-n-capture bug in FCP 5.0.4.
Not that I could ever replace Noah as FCP guru.:embarasse

Can't wait to mett Kevin and see some more of that juicy animal footage.

I'll have to scrounge up some pennies to attend the dvx demo.

I went to the MIFF last night and the guy from Zacuto, who was there to demo their studio camera packages, gave the board members a shout out about spreading rumors regarding new upcoming versions of the P2 cards.

All in all it was a good time and the footage from the HVX looked great up on the big screen.

You mean to say there isn't an obstacle course?

Then what on Earth is the purpose of the bootcamp!?

I'm planning on bringing lots of footage of cute fuzzy bunnies and baby ducks.

Oh hell, who are we kidding, there's gonna be a blood bath baby!!! :)

Well, ok maybe not a blood bath but you get the idea. :)

Jared

Any news on where in the south you might have a Boot Camp?

Nashville is a good city.

Best,

Rob
