Chesh Music Video

Looks great! However...

All the audio came out of the left channel only. If you used a mono microphone, duplicate the audio channel so the listener gets dual-channel mono (not quite stereo).

I could also tell that the audio was recorded in a fairly small space, there is some echo of audio bouncing back from the walls or something. But once you go to stereo audio, I think it will be less noticeable because the listener won't spend as much time trying to figure out what went wrong with the audio.

Nope, I compressed it mono, I'm compressing a stereo version as I write, I'll replace the mono version.

As far as audio, it was emailed to me as an mp3, I converted it to an aiff, and now it's been recompressed, a higher quality version will be subbed out later.

thanks,

chris

Sorry, if anyone was downloading. I just swapped out a stereo version for the mono version.

Wow, dude.. First of all GREAT SONG! Second, GREAT FRIGGIN JOB! Looked really really GREAT! I'm pretty picky too.. MTV worthy 100%.. Some of the best footage I've seen with the STOCK HVX and no Adapter..

KEEP UP the GREAT work!!

jepp great job, well done! You had some kind of filter in the "red rose / girl's hand" scenes hadn't you? Was that a digital one?

In the rooftopp scenes, where you shot against the sun, was some dust and dirt on the lense, i think. I found that to be a problem in quite a number of clips i saw here and elsewhere and even when i am shooting myself. It's because usually those little 'dirtdots' are so massively out of focus, that you won't see 'em, but in such special conditions they become visible, which is pretty sad, because it somehow destroyes a lovely shot.
Meanwhile i disciplined myself to constantly keep an eye to my front lens and periodically clean it throughout the shoot. This prevents from unwanted extrainformation on the P2 card

but nevertheless I liked it very much! Keep up the good work!

Dude, thanks bro, it feels great to hear feedback like this. We made a few mistakes and there are some things I wish we had done differently, but the artist is very pleased and it was a great learning experience for me.

Yup, I don't know about destroys, but I agree it would be nicer without the dust spots. I wish I had done more than one take of that shot on the roof. :(

Sorry forgot to answer this one question.

I shot that with a stock HVX w/mild scene file adjustment... In the end we used a couple MB filters and some thoughtful color correction :)
