*Fadein: CU of hand holding a pencil tapping an office desk with a rapidfire tempo". Tapping slows down and perform a slight Pull allowing us to see part of a Yellow, Legal pad adjacent to the tapping pencil. Legal Pad has some writing on it, it appears to be some sort of Checklist*

*Voice Over*

"Okay, Let's see here ... "

"Item 1:

Discount XL2 as an platform ... CHECK!!"

*Item 1 on List is Checked Off*

"Item 2:

Call Rush and order My New DVX ... Check!!"

*Pencil checks off item 2*

"Item 3:

Order UV/Lens Protector, and Tapes ( including cleaning tape )"

*Pencil checks off item 3"

"Item 4"

Be sure to run a cleaning tape, read manual, buy new DVX Book, and .... * Pencil starts tapping again beside Legal Pad * Hmmm ... Is there another Checklist around here somewhere? I thought I saw one on DVXUSER.COM ... "

"Can Someone Help Me out Here? I need to complete my list !!!" ;D

To eliminate the possibility of initial dirty heads ... I know I know, its a *NEW* camera ... Nonetheless, I have read to do this upon receipt of the camera due to the possibility that the heads *might* be dirty ...

Well, yes – that’s kind of what I was getting at – why abrade the heads before you’ve ever even used them, much less at all?

In any case, the DVX comes with a cleaning tape in the box, so if you’re going to use it, you don’t have to buy one. But I wouldn’t recommend it.

Not anymore. The DVX100 came with a cleaning tape, but the 100A comes with a regular MQ tape and no cleaning tape.
