this footage looks great for such a simple set up. would you mind explaining exactly how you're mounting your 5d to the c-stand arm, and how the arm is attaching to the plywood?

Not at all, I built it with what I had lying around. I was actually pretty surprised it worked so well.. 5D has a little Lowel pin screwed into the bottom of the camera (where the tripod plate gets screwed in). The grip arm is attached to the plywood with a Matthews baby plate. Easy Peasy.
