CHEAPEST/BEST External LCD Monitor

It would be a good solution to what you are looking for...

Real studio monitors have features like color correction, focus assist and usually no overscan... I typically can do without them and have had a lot of success with these little guys - for the money you are getting a MUCH better idea of what you are shooting... and very easy to pull focus...

Thats a deal, just ordered.

So up until now, you haven't had many issues with shooting under sunlight?

Do you have the monitor mounted right on the camera setup or do you have it on a stand to the side? Most importantly, how do you power it?

Sorry for all the questions. Haha.

I think this thread will answer those questions and a few more... The monitor is usable in the sun if you have the sunshade, cant really comment on how much better a Marshall or equivalent would perform in comparison though... I use an Ikan Sony L batt adapter... most of my stuff uses it. More:

I attach my monitor to the Halo Rig, great for mounting all your accessories on 1 rig... The Mini is just for dslrs, the HD is for medium video cameras...
