Cheapest 4gb P2

Give us a price to match and we will see what we can do. I need a link or a printed add to take to my boss to authorize the price match. :)

Hi Guys! Does it matter what country you buy P2 cards from?
Living in Australia (and thus using the PAL HVX-202) you get some pretty outrageous price markups...
for example the standard price on a 4gb P2 card is about AU$1,095
(or about US$766)
so I'm wondering if I'm saving about US$150 per card why I shouldn't just get the P2 cards through an American reseller?
Is there some formatting on the P2 cards that would prevent me using them in a PAL camera?

I got two I'll sell you for $525 each with shipping. I still have the boxes and the warranty stuff with it. I wanna go get one of those firestores. PM me if ya want them.

Could this be a sign that 16 gig cards are coming soon?? For what it's worth, B&H has their 4 gig cards listed at $600 and EVS has them at $640

So how long will it take for other resellers to drop their price on 4 and 8 GB P2s?

And the more important question, how long until 16 Gb P2s are announced?

Thanks Barry.

Do you have any indication of the price point they might appear at?

Might be hard to peg it down since Flash Chip manufacturing is really romping up in terms of capacity and units.

But, still???

Hasn't even been announced yet, so there's no way anyone could give a realistic price estimate.

4gb's just dropped another $100 a few weeks ago, so pricing is anyone's guess. The 8gb was introduced at $2750, then by the time it actually appeared it had dropped to $2200, and a couple of months later it dropped to $1400. So over the course of a year from announcement to today, it's half the price they initially announced. So trying to predict what a 16gb card would cost, when it hasn't been announced and won't likely even appear on the market for another six months, would take some serious crystal-ball prognostication! :)
