Cheaper alternative to Ediius?

I am using PC not mac. Is there a cheaper alternative to canopus edius that has the same HVX compatibility? What I mean is I really need two things out of an NLE: compatibility with MXF, color correction.

I don't need things to get much more complicated than that but I also don't want poor software like Pinnacle (at least from my experience).

Also I maybe could take the Raylight route and edit in After Effects but are there not issues with converting everything to AVI instead of using native MXF? I have heard that some have had compression issues with that program.

Also I have used Avid plenty and am tired of it as well.

Premiere Pro CS4 has even better integration with P2; the best of any NLE.

For less, you can also go with Vegas/Raylight; no conversion to AVI necessary, and it's a much more full-featured NLE than Edius (or Premiere without the rest of the Creative Suite). You can use MXFs straight on the timeline, no problem -- but it's not quite as tightly-integrated as Edius or CS4.
