GH1 Cheap Tripod Legs

I already have a really nice fluid head, but I need some good INEXPENSIVE Tripod legs. Because my GH1 isn't that heavy I don't think multiple stage legs will be as important... [although I'd love to have them]. But they need to be sturdy and... cheap. My budget is like $50... or less... I know, I know. I should "bite the bullet now" but I really don't have any money. Maybe $100 MAX. Call me crazy, but I'd really, really like to keep it under $30.

But they're just legs. Just metal. I don't have enough money to buy something that's going to cost $500.

If you could point me in the right direction or shout out some good VALUE tripod legs... I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks.

Does your tripod head mount to a 75mm or 100mm bowl, or is it a non-leveling head requiring a 3/8 or 1/4 inch mount?

You need to get that figured out 1st. If you just need standard legs, just about anything will do. I picked up carbon fiber legs for only $100- that I use for photography, but for video, I prefer heavier legs. My EI717 tripod is very heavy, but very adjustable, sets up quickly and is stable in just about any condition. I also have the carbon fiber version of the EI717, for hiking and winter (wait till you start carrying a metal tripod in sub-zero temps) use, it has a smaller leveling bowl, doesn't go as high.

Walk into your closest large photography store and check their clearout/used section. There's often a 3 way panhead or ball-head type tripod on sale. Anything else with a big name on it will be above your budget.
