Cheap Sunhood for Atomos Shogun

Just thought I'd share some information with you, I found a cheap sunhood at :

That fits the atomos shogun perfectly, For £7.95 you can't really go wrong. I did have to cut the velcro to attach it to the sides of the shogun. But other than that it's fine.

Just ordered something that looks identical via eBay for about the same price. Won't get it until the end of next week, but it gives me hope it'll do the job seeing your set up. Couldn't justify $40+ on a hood when so many generic hoods are available.

I did just purchase the Hoodman 7" for RED that covers the whole viewing area but not the whole screen. What's nice is it doesn't use Velcro.

Well considering I have posted a picture of it attached perfectly to my own Shogun, what can I say?

Maybe you have attached the Velcro incorrectly? Post a picture....

This design really doesn't do much in sunny conditions. You still have to throw a towel or shirt over the monitor like a old time photographer to see the screen. I had a 7Q+ out on a shoot and it has a rubber shade similar in shape to this one, but it just doesn't do enough.

This Hoodman is what we need but would fit on a smaller monitor. It would at least truly make any monitor usable outdoors.
