For sale is a Panasonic HMC40. This camera has always been up to the task. Internally, I'd give it a 10/10. It has never cut out on me or glitched or anything of the sort. There are only light scratches on the camera body and on the tripod mount on the bottom. Externally, I'd give it 9/10, apart from the cracked bayonet as shown in the pictures. This does not affect picture quality; it simply makes putting the lens shade a tad more difficult. I understand that one may be wary about buying an expensive item with any defect in any way shape or form, but I can assure you that this really isn't a big deal once you're used to it. The camera has only 70 hours of operation, most of which it spent on a tripod doing time lapses. I can send test videos if requested.
Bundled are the original Panasonic battery, original Panasonic battery charger, original Panasonic boxes, original Panasonic software (the disc says "AVCCAM Restorer" and "Operating Instructions", although I've never opened/used it), original Panasonic manuals, original Panasonic lens hood, original Panasonic handle, original Panasonic screw to attach the handle to the camcorder, original Panasonic viewfinder eyepiece, and anything else I can find that would go with the camera.
If one would be interested in a trade where you add cash (most likely), things I'm looking for include a Tamron 17-50 f2.8 VC, a smooth tripod head for video (not picky as long as it's smooth), good tripod legs, vintage primes, quality LCD viewfinders for DSLRs, 15mm items (including a FF, handgrip, and a counterweight) and a lot else.
