Cheap Macro for 35mm Adapter

i bought one. Its not good for adapters.

This is the chronology of my R&D and adapter development since 2004.

I first started with a magnifying lens.

Then Cokin and Sunpak close ups.

Then Asian lens.

Then Cinevate.

Then SGpro.

The last two worked but for my DIY set up, the sgpro had very minimal CA.

How large is your camera? The Opteka HD 10X Macro works very well for smaller cameras and it is curretnly on sale at Amazon for $29.95 (usually around $60).

Which type of mount on your 35mm adapter?

If you want cheap macro I'd suggest searching E-bay for a set of used extension-tubes.

Has anyone used ebay macros for their 35mm adapters?

I was looking at this one, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7549242621

For $20 it can't be great, but is it worth a shot?
Buying cheap adapters is a waste of your time and money. Unless you want to use the lens to fry insects, I would hold on and buy better optics. If you have a 35mm adapter, then see what kind of used bellows & extension tubes you can get. I bought a cheap 2x adapter for my DVX and the results were terrible. I watch Ebay, and was able to get a Century Optics 1.6 pretty cheap, and the results were always excellent.

Where DV goes, GIGO applies most of the time (Garbage in, Garbage out).
