Cheap HD camera, looking to buy please help = Suggestions?

Basically I am looking for an HD camera under $500. It does not have to be perfect or the best thing, this will basically be used for behind the scenes footage of music artist, studio performances, blogs and things like that nature where the best quality is not needed but a descent HD signal would be nice. So which is one of the best consumer hd cameras in this price range?


Any suggestions on any cameras in the $300-$500 tag that could fit the bill?

People have used the Flip UltraHD for such things. There are several blogs of FF using it now. Don't ask me to find them, I just remember seeing it.
