Cheap Dolly Wheels - Smooth?

Does any one know any cheap wheels + bearings that are pretty smoth? I wouldn't like to spend much more than $20 and I need 8 wheels w/bearings. My dolly right now has some 58mm skateboard wheels which are pretty worn out and a bit bumpy. (I used to actually skateboard with them on the street) Would roller skate wheels work on a dolly that fits skateboard wheels right now? Roller skate wheels are considerably cheaper I have found:

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I dont see why not. Nice find, I have been looking for some cheep wheels myself. I am gonna need quite a few of them for my dolly.

If you can modify your kit to use rollerblade wheels you can have an endless supply of high quality wheels on the cheap. Almost every thrift store has a ton of used rollerblades and no one seems to want them. Many are pretty crappy but usually you can find a pair in child size with some hardly uses wheels and sweet ABEC 3 or 5 bearings. Best parts is they usually sell for 4 bucks and you get eight wheels with bearings.

I think if you go with an indoor wheel you should be good to go being that they should be softer than the outdoor ones.

Seriously, look on Ebay and in thrift stores if you have no luck there

Most inline skate wheels are softer than skateboard wheels these days so they'll be way smoother. I know that inline hockey wheels are usually sold in singles or pairs (as some skates use all different sizes).

Ideally you'd get the largest that you can get with the lowest durometer (hardness)
Something around 70 to 80A will be perfect for most circumstances - but go with what's available and in your price bracket

Good luck! :)

As long as you don't get boinked on shipping then get the wheels off the page you linked... those will be fine. I've used all kinds... the ones you linked will work fine.

Well...I ended up going all out for some good roller blade wheels -- Cost me $40 for 8 wheels w/bearings! But they are extremly smooth!!!
