Cheap CowboyStudio 100W LED light

Hi guys! Has anyone tried this high intensity LED light? It's only $200 for a light that looks similar to the popular Alzo 3000!

I'm always worried about fan noise. Lot of the cheap hight watt led's are made to be modelling lights for photos so noise isn't an issue..... but it sure is for filming.

Sure! But at this price point I wouldn't mind a fan change just like some users here with their alzos

Possibly different fans produce different amount of noise. Possibly some lights with certain noise levels are unusable for sound movies shoots. It may be advised to see reports prior to purchasing.

Well, go to the Cowboy site and watch their "instruction video" for this light. The sound on the video is atrocious even before he turns on the light, but it doesn't make it worse as far as I can tell. YMMV.

Thanks! It's very hard to notice any fan noise from that video hahaha

Something interesting about this light: the price is constantly dropping. Last week it was at $250, then $200 and now $179. If it's similar in terms of output and quality to the ALZO 3000 I think it's defintely an interesting option.
