Cheap and ugly DIY LCD viewfinder

Hi guys!
Inspired by teddybear's design, I bought two € 1.50 loupe and tryied to build my viewfinder. This V1 is ugly but I wanted to know if the aid for focusing was enough, and yes, the screen is now huge.
i used some poliplat and I have no metal strip for attaching to the tripod mount, but in the next design we will find a better solution.
I hope the next design will feature some black plexiglass and an eyecup, If i find a decent material.
If I will not find a good solution I will switch to teddybear's design.

Is it just me or are those images flipped horizontally? I guess your using a 7d because my t2i doesn't have the larger aperture wheel but im I crazy or is the shutter button on the wrong side?

I love the design, super simple and effective!

Im guessing those pics were taken with a webcam? I used to have a webcam and it often flipped images horizontal if i didnt change the settings.

All the DSLRs need is peaking.

Peaking works wonders for aiding focus with the shallow DOF of 35mm.
