The scarlet fixed would be what we've been waiting for regarding a small form factor cam recording to affordable media with post production manipulation robustness at a price thats affordable with a 3K chip designed for cinema applications, regardless if you're doing any 'special' heavy effects work. I respectfully don't see the wash.
The wash is the scarlet's 3k chip after the debayer filter is ~2k resolution. The 2/3" sensor at T3 will produce a similar DOF as the 1/2" sensor f/1.9-2.8.
The "production manipulation robustness" is only helpful in special situations. Normal grading and even keying can be done just fine on EX1 footage.
But essentially what I said was that those with an EX1 wouldn't have significant reason to buy a fixed Scarlet. Other Scarlet models though will have advantages, but not at that price point. (Anymore than a Red only costs $17,500. A fully rigged Red runs $30-$40k.)
