Hey, I'm about to purchase the Century Xtreme fisheye for my HPX170 and I was wondering if anybody already had one - if so, maybe you could help me out! I already have a standard 15mm mattebox support rod system, 60mm centre to centre and I was wondering if this would be compatible with the lens, or if i'd need to but a specific Century one? Any help would be really appreciated!

Thanks

Hey Mate I would go the http://www.schneideroptics.com/Ecommerce/CatalogItemDetail.aspx?CID=1393&IID=2067 for sure! The last thing you want is the front of your camera breaking off!

wouldn't you just use the rods u already own instead of waisting 500$ if I were you I'd buy the lens see if it fit with your rods an if not save up $500

I'm selling my Century Precision Optics Fisheye Adapter Lens for Panasonic AG-HPX170 for $420 if you're interested.

I wish someone knew if there was just one standard rod size for these things...or maybe there is? Does anyone here have the xtreme fisheye? If so, what support rods are you using? Someone must know!!

go on bhphoto and get the rails they recomend there real short it's worth the 500 extra bucks especialy if your follow camin. a longer rail might get in the way of your shot
