century optics/LA7200 widescreen adapter questions

is this adapter an option to shoot anamorphic on the lumix pancake lens's (20mm, 14) and canon fd primes(especially the 35f2 and 50f1.4)with 37mm to 46mm(lumix and 52mm(fd) step down rings? can anyone comment on how the quality might be? i know i would need to use diopter filters for close focusing, i have one of the matteboxes off ebay that take cokin filters would a diopter filter in the matte box be ideal?

i would prefer to purchase a LA7200 with my mattebox mounted on rails could i use the panny with the mattebox and filters the same way?

any cheaper monitoring options than the small hd?
 
The linked adapter will work. I have the 58mm version. You will need to close the aperture all the way down to get the lens sharp (f 11-22). The widest I can go is 36mm (my zeiss 35m show a little blur right on the edage) so I would think you might not be able to go as far with such a small opening.

As for the Panasonic. It is pretty big and might be a little large for your mattebox.... just my thoughts.
