For Sale or possible trade towards Anamorphic adapter.
2 month old  Century Optics Wide Angle .7x zoom through lens adapter.  This is a phenomenal piece of glass but I'm switching over to the anamorphic adapter full time for at least the next year. I used this on 2 music video shoots with stunning results. It does fisheye a bit when zoomed out full wide. It is in pristine condition. Either trade or I'd like to get $575 and I'll pay for the shipping and insurance. I prefer paypal.

Post here or PM me.
Thanks,

Just wanted to bring this back to the top.
It is still for sale.
Make a reasonable offer and I just might take it.

Re: Century Optics .7x wide angle adapter

I'm fairly new to this, why would I want to use this over the Panasonic 16:9 adapter?

Re: Century Optics .7x wide angle adapter

Wide angle lenses are completely different from anamorphic lenses.

A wide angle give you a wider angle of view, while an anamorphic will in essence "squeeze" your image to later be "unsqueezed" to conform to 16:9 standards.

Re: Century Optics .7x wide angle adapter

T.C. is correct.
This lens will maintain the 4:3 aspect ratio while giving you actually a wider field of view than the anamorphic lens.
This is benificial if you do your widescreen cropping in post.

Or shoot using the in-camera Squeeze Mode.

Re: Century Optics .7x wide angle adapter

I would be interested in your adapter, can you do me a favor though, can you shoot some footage for me in 4:3 using the adapter, I would like to run some tests, I've been thinking about the anamorphic widescreen adapter but I'm leaning towards this exact kind more, if you can supply that for me that would be keen.

I'm at scott@kainemedia.com for more info if you need it.
