Century Optics 16:9 Anamorphic Confusion; Are these anamorphic lenses?

Ok, so I have a Panny TM700, and I don't want to have to crop the image to get an anamorphic ratio. So I heard of the Panny LA700 (too expensive) and the century optics 16:9 adapters. I heard these adapters give an already 16:9 image a 'true' anamorphic aspect ratio. Now, I searched ebay with no lock, then went to amazon, where I got four results that look similar.

These two are 37mm threads. What's the difference between them?

Question: If I buy these and use a step down filter, (tm700 filter is 46mm) will I see vignette on the image?

These also came up, both are the 58mm thread (too damn expensive if it does the same thing)

and this one....I don't know what the hell, lol. Any answers to any of these questions would be greatly appreciated.

Those are anamorphic lenses of the 1.33x variant, originally made to stretch 4:3 to 16:9. When used on a 16:9 image it stretches it further to 2.35:1.

Are you sure the 58mm threads you say are 58mm threads? They look, and state that they are bayonet mounts.

Hi raymond

Just wondering if the one you just sold was a 58mm bayonet ( Sony VX2000 ) or 52mm bayonet (Sony VX1000) . I'm wondering if they could be all the same lens with different mounts.

Um....I haven't sold anything, but the different thread sizes may be for the different bayonet sizes for different cameras. If that's the case I want to know if the smaller ones (the cheaper $300 ones) would be able to fit on my Panasonic TM700 46mm thread via an adapter. Can anyone tell me if this will work (please also consider the other questions I posted above)

Without testing the lens itself it's hard to tell. The actual anamorphic glass is 62mm at the front, so the back mount could be modified to a 46mm mount. The larger adapters have a 75mm front end. 72mm glass. according to specs.

It should be from the Sony VX2000. That was my conjuncture as well, however there are older versions such as one called the 'partial zoom' and i believe the 37mm one is slightly more different but optically similar.
