CD Clip Merger

So I haven't shot any 2k HFR until today, and I had a terrible time getting the Clip merger to work, I finally found that it wouldn't work because the file folders needed to end with _SSD1 and _SSD2, but the files coming off my 7Q ended in _1 and _2, once I renamed them it worked. Is this just a change in naming convention that CD overlooked?


Uh.... was totally looking at 4K raw files.... not the 2K HFR that I was offloading... *facepalm* I guess it's the end of the day Friday...

Mitch, do you ever see the ability to merge within the Odyssey?

Eg, say I have 100gb + 100gb of raided files on my two 256gb at the end of the shooting day... Assuming I enough space, it would be great to be able to click a button to merge the data onto SSD1, ready for edit.
 
I haven't used the merger, I just take the files and drop them into the _1 folder and delete the _2... I never use the audio. Does the merger put the audio together? Is there a reason to use it other than just moving to one folder?
 
if you have lots of _1 and _2 folders, the merger merges them all with a single click. even if there is no other reason to use it (there is no audio in hfr, but there are some xml files), for me this is enough ;)
 
fair enough :p. I might have to try it out. I haven't shot much 2k hfr, so that's why I haven't had a use yet.
