CC tests from super secret project

That's right a super secret top security labeled X project. Actually, its the first feature for my company and it's shot entirely on a DVX100A. Currently we just jumped head first into post-production. I can't really divulge to much information presently but I figured I've been lurking in these forums since I bought my camera so it's probably time to pony up some goods.

Anyway, I, being a college student, was too drained today to jump into more editing :undecided . So, I just nabbed some screen grabs and did a quicky CC test in photoshop. They get progressively better (Atleast I think so).

Uncorrected original still. Matte box isn't proper scale either. Just threw it on last second.

Corrected. 30 second fix.
Second corrected. Minute fix. Still not to happy.
cctest05.jpg

Third times a charm. Still a minute fix but getting somewhere.

The rest are also minute fixes.

They are also all sitting on my site: Random Creatureface Films

Really quicky CC but I think a little practice can't hurt. Especially when it comes time to CC the whole full length shabangabang. Well, hope you kind folks enjoy. I'm gonna go pass out now. Faced!

Pretty good looking cc. I like the dark shot of the guy walking down the hall and the one of the girl. I do think the first shot, with the kid, is a little dark though.

Anyway, good to see another Minnesota person in the community. Where do you go to school?

Haha! So you were the kids that the cops got involved with during the filming (mistaking it for a murder scene)

Good job

I would definitely say the last four are you best. The wide shot of the kid and the...hallinator guard guy has almost perfect contrast, or at least to my tastes. The CU of the blood [or Toaster Strudel filling,] is really striking, and compositionally done well as far as thirds go. It reminds me of 80s horror style. Shadow man is very nicely lit, and I keep hearing thundering foreshadowing music when I see it :[]. The CU of the eye is just pretty, great colors there.

Keep it up keep it up.

That would be MCAD (Minneapolis College of Art and Design). Something of interest: I'm not a film major. I'll be graduating for animation this winter but my passion is film.

Yes that would be us... . It wasn't during actually the car had been sitting for a week in the alley behind our house. Kids though? We're all 23... :cheesy:
For all you curious as to what he's talking about here's a link my website.
Random Creatureface Films
or google news apparently has like 50 some links to it.
Google News. Click the top link or the 53 related.

Also, thanks to all you guys who like my stuff. We just figured out today that we won't even be using that first shot so no need to worry about my crummy CC job.

Well, yes 23 years of age = kids in my book

Then again, I'm just 16 so what do I know?

I go to the perpich center out in golden valley - just moved to st louis park... I don't know exactly why I'm telling you this, but whatever. Minnesotan's gotta unite... we're the minority on these boards

Minnesota doesn't really have all that much going for it in feature length film making. Commercial work is pretty dang high though. 16? Jees, I was just drawing comics at 16. I barely even start using a camcorder in highschool. If/When we get a test screening going I'll be sure to let all the locals on this board know.

A few new ones. Smaller to save on the bandwidth/DLing.
