CAVISION Shoulder Pad

http://www.cavision.com/rods/RS15SP.htm

anyone using this shoulder pad? The price is right and i already have Cavision rails, etc... Thinking about getting it but I'm lefty and usually use the camera on my left shoulder with my left eye in the view finder...i'm using a T2i if that matters.

Basically I'm wondering if its possible to screw off the little rail bracket and put it on the other side so it would line up correctly for a lefty or if you just have to use it on your right shoulder?

i have this pad, and yes you can change it to the left if you have to, although this pad wasn't designed to do so. just don't turn the screw too hard because when you switch the pad to your left, the screw won't meet the mount surface, and if you turn the screw way too tight (i don't see why you should do this) it might dent the pad since it was made in plastic material. might break it, but who knows? just be cautious with it. but basically its doable and it turned out quite alright for me.
i did it several times when my cam op is lefty just like you.

OR maybe you could do exactly like the picture in the web (RS15SP-2 Alternate Configuration) but with this config i think it would put your rail & camera way to the left.. but its the safest bet tho' since its coming from the cavision itself.

Any chance you could upload a picture of it in "lefty" configuration. All the pictures are so small its really hard to get an idea how exactly it would work.

Thanks for the reply.
