Catching the rain...

Hi Guys, Does anyone have any ideas or general advice on filming rain?

Did a search but didn't find anything specific. A fast shutter speed is going to be necessary but it gets very dark usually when it rains. It's only me shooting. No lighting other than Mr. Sun. I want to get it as dramatic as possible.

Shooting on a DVX100b in squeeze. I have a polarizing filter but I'm not sure if that will help or not....

Thanks guys! Maybe next time I visit my parents I will rig the hose pipe and sprinkler up in the back yard for practise...

Try this - Set the shutter speed to 1000 and use the highest ND filter, and maybe even add more ND on the lens. Make sure to use your longest zoom setting 100 or 300mm. I would find an over hang or awing to stand under to shoot rain. Last thing you want is a wet camera. Good luck.
