FS7: Catalyst Browse freezing on batch transcode

Yesterday I had what should have been a quick easy transcode of about 10 shots in XAVC 29.97 to ProRes 422.A whopping 21 Gigs on one card. I set it up properly , picked a vtarget drive with plenty of room and highlighted all the clips and hit transcode. Well it started out fine and around then got slower and slower until it completely froze. I ended the transcode. I tried this a couple of times and the same thing kept happening. Each tiome I got a couple of shots transcoded. Finally I did the remaining shots one by one and they transcoded quickly .
I don't think I've read about this before. Is it yet another known glitch?

I'm on a fast Macbook pro with Nvidia graphics card , plenty of memory, latest Catalyst browse. One issue - my laptop hardrive is getting pretty full. $750 gigs with only 40-50G's free.
 
A full drive can definitely result in slowdowns. Generally once you pass the 90% full mark you'll start to see problems. However, it shouldn't cause a crash.

I have used catalyst to batch transcode successfully. In fact it's doing a large batch for me right now :). So I don't think it's an issue with Catalyst.
 
I need to free up space on my drive and then I will try the same transfer just as a test. I hope that's it.
 
Just a heads up. My large batch failed. It appears if you attempt to transcode many files in a batch (I've found the limit to be around 40 item and 15GB) it will simply hang.
